Take the first step toward cleaner water
with DNR Watershed Planning Grants
Get your watershed effort moving with a Planning Grant.
We're again accepting applications for DNR Watershed Planning
Grants, and we're looking forward to helping even more local
Iowa groups find solutions for improving our state's lakes,
streams and rivers.
DNR Watershed Planning Grants help you every step of the
way when it comes to improving your community's local lake,
stream or river. Get started by calling your basin coordinator
(see below) for a consultation to discuss your group's ideas.
Your basin coordinator can also answer your questions about
the grant application process and watershed improvement.
The Basics:
- DNR Watershed Planning Grants offer $10,000 to $50,000
to develop Watershed Management Plans that address problems
and create solutions for waters on the state's impaired
waters list.
- Local or regional groups, organizations or agencies (public
or private) are eligible to apply.
- The DNR is accepting applications now through April 2,
2012.
